Meals on Wheels Montgomery County is looking for a contractor who is able to provide non-emergency alternate transportation services to the elderly and disabled residents of Montgomery County who are unable to access alternate transportation for medical trips, dialysis appointments and trips for Veterans to the Michael E Debakey VA Medical Center. Upon request from MCCOA vendor will coordinate the provision of non- emergency transportation, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, through the Service for clients in MCCOA’s service area who require transportation services. This must be a curb-to-curb service. Service may not be operable during emergency conditions such as disasters and weather-related events where operating transportation services is dangerous to transportation providers and clients. Within 3 hours of receiving a request from a client for transportation service, the vendor will have a designated provider, currently under contract to pick-up clients.
